     The Family of Silas " Buck " Berklin and Sarah Marie ( Reed ) Seay .

Sarah Maria ( Reed ) Seay was born : 30th March 1843 in Franklin County , Alabama . She was a daughter of Enoch and Mariah ( Johnson ) Reed . She meet and married Silas " Buck ' Berklin Seay of Franklin County , Alabama . They made their home in Franklin County, Alabama . Silas " Buck " was born 11th of July 1846 in Elbert County , Georgia . He was the son of Bennett and Martha ( Carpenter ) Seay .

Sarah Marie was the first wife of Silas " Buck ' Berklin Seay . She died , 27th of April 1907 and is buried in the Oak Grove Cemetery , Franklin County , Alabama .Silas married again after Sarah Marie's death but remained close to the Reed Family .He took care of the " Reed Family Cemetery " until his death 25th April 1930 . Silas was buried in the Oak Grove Cemetery , Franklin County , Alabama .

" The Children of Silas " Buck " Berklin and Sarah Maria ( Reed ) Seay .

1.  Lurenia Clementine Seay ( 1868-1903)  Lurenia was the first child born to Silas and Sara . She was born : 3th September 1868 and died : 29th November 1903 . Lurenia never married .

2.  Martha Jane " Mat " Seay  ( 1871-1936) was the second child born to Silas and Sara . Martha meet and married W. Lee Hill on 16 th Feburary 1900 in Franklin County , Alabama . She married #2. Joe Brown 13 November 1915 . Sara #3. marriage was to F. Gibson abt 1916 .  Martha died 23th November 1936 in Franklin County , Alabama .

3.  Hamilton Russell Seay ( 1873-1924 )  was the first son born to Silas and Sara . Hamilton meet and married Minnie W. Walker on 15th July 1894 in Franklin County , Alabama . Hamilton and Minnie Seay made their home in Franklin County , Alabama . Hamilton died : 14th January 1924 in Franklin County , Alabama .

4. Littleton P. Seay ( 1876-1947) was the second son born to Silas and Sara Seay . Littleton P. " Lit " meet and married Martha Alice Aderholt . They were married 13th June 1897 in Alabama . Littleton P. died : 13th Oct. 1947 .

5.   Sarah M. " Sallie " Seay ( 1879-1936) was born in Franklin County , Alabama to Silas and Sara Marie ( Reed ) Seay . She was the third daughter born to them . Sarah meet and married John Westley Justice ( 1881-1917) of Cullman , Alabama . They were married on 3th May 1900.  Sarah Marie died : 28th November 1936 .

6.& 7 . Twins :John and Johnson Seay B/D in about 1881. They are buried in the " Reed Family Cemetery " in Franklin County , Alabama .

8.  Lucy Henneritta Seay (1882-1902) was last child born to Silas and Sara Marie ( Reed ) Seay . Lucy never married and died 6th July 1902 .

" The Second Marriage of Silas " Buck " Berklin  Seay "( 1846-1930 ) .

 Silas " Buck " Seay married Alice ( Kinard ) Seay ( 1882-1954)  of Franklin County , Alabama . She was his second and last wife . She was the daughter of Henry G. and Elizabeth J. ( Motes ) Kinard of Franklin County , Alabama . Alice died 13th June 1954 and is buried in Qak Grove Cemetery , Franklin County , Alabama .

#1. James Berklin Seay( 1916-1987 ) was born ; 8 July 1916 in Franklin County , Alabama to Silas " Buck " Seay and Alice ( Kinard ) Seay . James married ; Mildred K. Letson , daughter of Albert Letson and Kate ( Nolen ) Letson . They had four children together . James Berklin died ; June 1987 , Russelville , Franklin County , Alabama .

#2. Tilda Mae Seay ( 1917- ? ) born; 4 December 1917 in Franklin County , Alabama to Silas Berklin and Alice ( Kinard ) Seay . Tilda Mae married , #1 .Arthur A. Weeks , #2. Frank Martin , #3. Robert Pace . Tilda Mae and Arthur A. Weeks had five children together . Arthur A. Weeks was b.5 March 1915 and d.  14 December 1951 in Aiken , South Carolina .  There are no know children of Tilda's other two marriages .

#3. General Forrest Seay ( 1919-1981 ) was born ; 27 Feb. 1919 in Franklin County , Alabama to Silas Berklin and Alice ( Kinard ) Seay . General Forrest first marriage was to Bernice Kimbrough . General Forrest and Bernice had three children together . General Forrest's second marriage was to ,Helen Adamowicz . They had two children together .

#4 . Baby Girl b/d 31 August 1922 in Franklin County , Alabama .

# 5. Oscar Lee Seay ( 1923-1947 )  was born ,16 September 1923 in Franklin County , Alabama to Silas Berklin and Alice ( Kinard ) Seay . Oscar Lee married Ruby Estelle Murray , daughter of Paul Murray and Ruth ( Latham ) Murray . Oscar Lee and Ruth had two children together .

#6. William John Kinard , step- son raise by Silas B. Seay b. 2 March 1908 in Franklin County , Alabama . A child from Alice's first marriage .

Notes ; from Rebecca's Journal of the Reed Family . Silas Berklin Seay remained close to the Reed family all his remaining days. He took care of the " Reed Cemetery " that was established by our Enoch Reed , b. 1809 . Silas Berklin's and Sarah Mariah Reed's twin sons who died at birth, are buried there . Their names John and Johnson Seay , b/d  in 1885 , Franklin County , Alabama . The twins were the grandchildren of Enoch b.1809 and Mariah ( Johnson ) Reed b.1811. Sarah Mariah was the first wife of   Silas Berklin Seay and the daughter of our Enoch Reed b.1809.  After Silas's death his daughter Tilda Mae ( Seay ) Pace took care of it. The " Reed Cemetery is located near Newburg , Franklin County , Alabama .
